Rhianna Herring

Name:

Rhianna Herring

Role:

Store Manager / GIA Certified Diamond & Design Specialist

Location:

The stunning town of Dunsborough within the Margaret River Region of southwest Western Australia.

How would you describe yourself?

The first thing that comes to mind is that I am really particular… in every way, every day! I love everything that requires very precise attention to detail.

Who inspires you?

The two most inspiring people to me are my Dad and my partner, Tristen.

My Dad has taught me to be strong, independent & to work hard. And Tristen is the most hard working, ambitious, driven & passionate human I have ever met - he inspires me to be the best I can be.

What's at the top of your bucket list?

I genuinely feel so lucky to have ticked many items off my bucket list already, but one thing I've not yet got to is a trip to New Zealand. I am Maori, so to see family and experience that culture would be amazing. I've travelled throughout the world and still not yet done NZ!

What are you most passionate about right now?

I've always been so passionate about striving for and maintaining good health - in both body & mind. I am a really positive person and I try to always look at the good in any given situation. There is so much in life to be happy and grateful for.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I love exercise and I love being outdoors. We're fortunate to live right near the beach and not far from the most magical bush & coastline in Australia so we are often out and about exploring, walking, driving. I also love wining & dining, especially a nice crisp glass of Chardonnay!

How long have you been with Nina's, and what attracted you to working with us?

I have been with Nina's almost 7 years - I totally love it! I am so lucky to work with such a fabulous bunch of women.

What is your favourite part of your job?

My clients! The "people" side of my job is hands-down my favourite part. I really cherish the relationships and connections I have with some of my most gorgeous clients.

What are the most challenging aspects of your job?

I would say the waiting period between designing a piece of jewellery and seeing it come to life - ha ha! Honestly, the environment I work in every single day is a dream - I am really lucky.

What is your favourite Nina's piece - past or present - and why?

Lumiere Collection

The Lumiere Necklace Collection

My favourite piece is the Lumiere Necklace as this was something I designed several years ago for myself! I love the classic simplicity of it as an everyday piece. (The Lumiere necklace has since become a Nina's bestseller, and a part of our core line.)

What are your long-term career goals?

I would love to do more studies in gemmology to further my skills in all aspects of the jewellery world. Diamonds and natural stones in general are a real interest to me.

What advice would you have for someone wanting to pursue a career in sales or management?

Be open-minded! I for one never knew I would adore what I do in this jewellery/design/diamond/sales & management world. I took the opportunity and grew into it, and now I can't imagine doing anything else!
